20 years of service to the project – We would like to thank Mr Kilian

At the end of 2021, Nicole Munk, Managing Director of SYNERGIE PERSONAL Deutschland GmbH, the branch manager in Karlsruhe, Volker Knittel, and his colleagues bid farewell to Mr Kilian, a long-serving project staff member.

What motivates an employee to remain loyal to SYNERGIE Deutschland GmbH for 20 years as a project staff member in the electrical installation department and, after 43 project assignments, to take the plunge into a permanent role?

Temporary Agency Work – A Way of Life

For more than 20 years, the qualified electrician had considered the permanent position as a project staff member at SYNERGIE Personal Deutschland GmbH – and the benefits associated with temporary agency work – to be an advantage over other forms of employment.

Within his approach to life, he felt well looked after in this employment arrangement. On the one hand, he had the security of a permanent employer; on the other, he was drawn to the constant stream of new tasks, new colleagues, the ever-changing professional challenges and the varying environments he encountered on his various project assignments.

SYNERGIE – More than just an employer

At SYNERGIE, he appreciated the interesting client projects, his assignments within a daily commute, the fair pay, as well as the branch’s proximity to his home and the long-standing, trusting relationships with the recruitment consultants. For him, these were added benefits that led him to turn down one or two „job offers“, as he emphasised when he left the company.

A permanent position after 43 assignments

During his most recent project assignment, this fan of old locomotives has now decided change course after all and swap his „itinerant working life“ – as he describes his working routine to date – for a permanent industrial role „with a roof over his head“, bidding farewell to his mobile assignments at various construction sites. On 1 December 2021, after 43 project assignments, he will be moving into a permanent role.
