After all, many of the companies’ decision-makers are on holiday too, and the application process is likely to drag on. What’s more, fewer vacancies are advertised in the summer. Admittedly, you’re not entirely wrong about that. We’ve put together some information for you on why it’s still worth applying right now, and how you can use the summer to boost your chances of landing the job.

The supposedly more challenging conditions for job applications in the summer mean that fewer people bother to apply. If you do apply, however, you’ll be up against significantly less competition than during the rest of the year. What’s more, the quality of applications often drops, as many applicants, caught up in the heat of the moment – or rather, the summer – tend to be a bit slapdash with their documents. More time to think
