Gießen – SYNERGIE is settling in the green heart of Hesse.

From the school bench to the park bench

The city is home to Justus Liebig University, the Technical University of Central Hesse and the Free Theological University of Giessen. It is therefore no wonder that Giessen is regarded as a centre of education and scholarship steeped in tradition, from which many a brilliant mind has emerged.

For anyone who didn’t know: Georg Büchner studied in Gießen! With all that intellectual thinking going on, the mind deserves a little breather now and then. From the school bench to the park bench.

The district is situated in the heart of the the romantic Lahn Valley, which rises near Bad Laasphe in the Rothaar Mountains. Over a distance of around 245 kilometres, the river winds its way through picturesque and idyllic countryside. The Lahn Valley is one of Germany’s most popular river valleys and is therefore a firm favourite with tourists. Whether on foot, by bike or in a canoe – there’s something for everyone here, as the entire area captivates visitors with its unique natural beauty.

SYNERGY: Here to stay

Back to school, and with that, back to Georg Büchner: he wrote *Der Hessische Landbote* at Badenburg Castle in 1834. Where might this castle be? In an idyllic setting on the River Lahn, of course.

„The general fixed ideas that we call common sense are unbearably boring,“ Büchner once wrote. With SYNERGIE, boredom in the workplace simply doesn’t arise in the first place.

Unlike Büchner, SYNERGIE is here to stay. Just as he once called for a revolution against oppression, branch manager Petra Waldschmidt urges us to SYNERGIE site in Gießen to visit. Do pop in!
