Your tasks
- Conceptualisation, design and simulation of power electronics components (converters, drivers, protection circuits) for power supplies.
- Development and implementation of technological platforms for new power supply architectures, including hardware architecture, layout decisions and prototyping.
- Hardware development: circuit design, component selection, verification using measurement and testing methods (laboratory set-up, oscilloscope, power analysis).
- Collaborating as part of a team to develop concepts, carry out reviews and further develop existing solutions; producing clear technical documentation.
- Programming and integration of hardware interfaces (e.g. microcontrollers/hardware components, firmware-related tools, and, where applicable, HDL methods) and collaboration with software teams.
- Project work with universities and research institutions: collaboration, joint research projects, and the incorporation of findings into prototypes.
- Validation, test strategies and qualification of prototypes through to series production; drafting of specifications, test specifications and approvals.
- Continuous improvement of development processes, methodologies (e.g. requirements engineering, risk management) and documentation.
What you need
- A degree in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or a comparable qualification
- Professional experience as an engineer (m/f/d) in the development of transformers is required
- In-depth knowledge of power electronics, semiconductor devices, protection concepts, circuit design, simulation (e.g. SPICE), layout standards and the fundamentals of EMC; a basic understanding of FPGA/ASIC environments would be an advantage.
- Experience with EDA tools (e.g. SPICE simulation, PCB design), laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, power measurement, load simulation) and layout tools.
- MSC/simulation environments, MS Office, documentation and version control tools; willingness to collaborate on software and firmware.
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team, good communication skills, ability to work independently, willingness to learn, structured approach to work.
- Fluent in spoken and written German; knowledge of English would be an advantage.
- A passion for innovative power electronics, and a willingness to work closely with universities and research institutions.
