2 x 10 = 20 years of expertise and dedication at SYNERGIE

They couldn’t be more different: Wolfgang Porten, Head of IT, and Sabine Österreicher, a payroll administrator at the payroll centre. He is level-headed, never loses his cool, and has a subtle sense of humour. She is lively, outgoing and has a booming laugh.

But they both have one thing in common: They have been part of SYNERGIE’s in-house team for 10 years and, through their dedication and expertise, have helped the company develop from a local provider with three branches in 2006 into one of the leading HR specialists in southern Germany with an international background.

Wolfgang Porten: As an IT manager, you get to travel about

He joined SYNERGIE in 2006. „It had to happen quickly,“ recalls Wolfgang Porten of his recruitment. He started work the very next Monday after his interview. At that time, he was in charge of the Karlsruhe, Pforzheim and Rastatt sites. Two years later, Bruchsal became the fourth site, and SYNERGIE’s steady expansion really took off.

As Head of IT, Wolfgang Porten is based at the Karlsruhe head office, alongside what has now grown to 15 colleagues from various departments. But he is present at all sites and gets stuck in himself: does a PC workstation need setting up for a new colleague in Freudenstadt? Is the branch in Achern due to move? Wolfgang Porten is there on the ground. Or he provides telephone support to users on a wide range of issues.

Wolfgang Porten was celebrated on his special day with a traditional Palatinate snack, and received congratulations from his colleagues. „We are delighted that you have supported us and helped us grow over so many years,“ said Managing Director Nicole Munk, expressing her gratitude to the honouree.

Sabine Österreicher: ‘Getting stuck in’ is her motto

There was also cause for celebration at the SYNERGIE branch in Pforzheim. Sabine Österreicher has been working there for 10 years, now at the Pforzheim branch of the payroll centre. „I’ve really settled in here,“ says the HR administrator happily at her anniversary breakfast. Having started out here and now returned to Pforzheim, she has also supported teams at numerous other locations over the past few years, including in Vaihingen and Stuttgart. And she’s done so with great dedication!

Sabine Österreicher is not just a HR administrator who feels responsible for the payroll of „her“ staff. She recruits candidates, „just quickly“ arranges for fitting models, or even lends a hand at the client’s premises if necessary, should a suitable employee not be found immediately in the event of a very last-minute request.

„It is thanks to dedicated staff like you that our growth is possible in the first place,“ said founder Otto Eberle, who made a point of personally congratulating Sabine Österreicher (pictured centre) on her anniversary.

Managing Director Nicole Munk (pictured: on the right next to the honouree) also offered her warm congratulations and summed it up succinctly: „Thank you very much for your fantastic work with us!“
