„Happy@SYNERGIE“ – 2nd Place at the iGZ Award

Since 2017, the iGZ Award for outstanding social commitment has been presented every two years. In 2017, we were already awarded first prize for the project „Work + Language = Integration“ and third prize for the apprentices„ “Social Day„ in 2019. However, the award ceremony this year was a little different from usual, as the “Temporary Work Oscar„ was also not spared by Corona. Therefore, Nicole Munk (Managing Director), Michael Allgeier (Process and Organisation Management) and Maria Lasalvia (Assistant to the Management) did not meet together on the “red carpet", as one would expect at an award ceremony, but, Corona-compliant, each in their own room, in front of a screen with a webcam and microphone. A little less glamorous, but still just as exciting.

Nominated – The Social Project by SYNERGIE

This year, SYNERGIE was nominated for the „happy@SYNERGIE“ project.
The idea is simple: fund a mobile school through athletic effort. As soon as 150,000 km are reached, the SYNERGIE Group will donate a „mobile school“. With the organisation „StreetwiZe“, street children worldwide are helped to learn to read and write. Currently, there are 44 mobile schools in 24 countries across 4 continents: Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Europe. Every individual at SYNERGIE was then called upon, and together they collected 41,896 kilometres. This reached the next 150,000-kilometre mark (including the previous year) and a further mobile school, this time for children in Togo, was donated.

Live broadcast – Now things get serious

Then the time finally came:
Ms Munk and Mr Allgeier were connected live.
The excitement was palpable even in familiar surroundings.
Hopefully, everything works out! But any worry was unfounded and the technology worked perfectly.

After a brief Q&A session, the SYNERGIE trailer was shown. A film crew had visited the SYNERGIE headquarters in Karlsruhe a few weeks prior for this purpose. We had already suspected at that point that we would definitely be in the top 3 and could look forward to a place on the winner's podium.
We were all particularly eager to see how the entire interview was edited into a short video and what placement we could look forward to.

A Different Kind of Handover – The Digital iGZ Award

We are now proud to report that our project „happy@SYNERGIE“ took 2nd place at the iGZ Award 2021. Jury member Dr. Alexandra Schmied announced the placement with warm congratulations and personal remarks.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the award given to our social project „happy@SYNERGIE“, which we hold very dear and which was also incredibly fun.
