Your tasks
- You will coordinate and supervise day-to-day production processes in the pipe prefabrication department and ensure that production is completed on time and to a high standard.
- You will lead and support the team assigned to you during the ongoing production process and act as the first point of contact for technical and organisational matters.
- You will play an active role in the manufacture, processing and fabrication of pipework, contributing your practical experience to the production processes.
- They ensure that technical drawings, isometric drawings and production documents are produced to the required standard.
- They monitor work processes, production progress and quality requirements, and take a solution-oriented approach when deviations occur.
- They liaise closely with related departments, the work planning team and other relevant departments.
- They help to organise and prioritise the work to be done and ensure that staff and resources are used efficiently.
- They ensure compliance with quality, health and safety standards and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
What you need
- Completed vocational training in a metalworking trade, Plant Mechanic (m/f/d), Construction Mechanic (m/f/d), Metalworker (m/f/d), Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d), Pipework Fitter (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
- Work experience as a foreman (m/f/d) in pipe prefabrication for shipbuilding is desirable
- Further training as a technician (m/f/d) or master craftsman (m/f/d) would be an advantage
- Several years’ professional experience in pipe fitting, pipework installation, shipbuilding or industrial pipe prefabrication
- A sound understanding of technical matters, as well as the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly and apply them in a practical context
- Experience in organising and managing production and manufacturing processes
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Excellent command of German and a good command of English
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A responsible and reliable approach to work
