Your tasks

  • Manufacture and machining of steel components such as staircases, landings, balustrades and other structures
  • Manufacturing of components based on technical drawings, sketches and measurements, as well as carrying out welding and assembly work in steel and metal construction
  • Alteration, dismantling and modification of existing steel structures
  • Carrying out site surveys directly on the relevant building sites and installing the fabricated structures within the local area
  • Independent inspection of the work carried out to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
  • Assisting with the practical implementation of individual customer requirements and liaising with customers and on-site contacts regarding technical queries

What you need 

  • A completed vocational training as Steel Fabricator (m/f/d), Metalworker (m/f/d), Construction Mechanic (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
  • Welding examinations in accordance with 111 and 135 are mandatory
  • Good knowledge of steel and metal construction, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately; a Class B driving licence, a forklift licence and authorisation to operate aerial work platforms would be an advantage
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work at height, as well as, ideally, some initial experience in coordinating or taking responsibility on building sites, and an independent, conscientious and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Team spirit, reliability and a passion for manual work, as well as a willingness to work occasionally at weekends, be on call and undertake the occasional night shift
