On behalf of our client, an established provider of facility management and in-house services, we are currently seeking, via our recruitment service, a Tender Management Expert with knowledge of the logistics or services sector (m/f/d) to start immediately. You can look forward to a direct appointment with a top employer within an international logistics group based in the greater Cologne area.

Your tasks

  • You will take on overall end-to-end responsibility for strategically important tenders, from participation right through to successful operational implementation
  • You will manage and optimise complex tender processes both in the public sector (particularly public procurement law/VOL) and in the private sector
  • You will act as the central coordinating link between Sales, Billing and central functions (Customer Service, Transport, IT), taking on a coordinating and leadership role
  • You will independently ensure the financial, technical and operational quality of the quotations and be responsible for their final approval
  • You will draw up decision-making templates and business cases for the executive board and senior management
  • You will actively identify market opportunities, areas for growth and gaps in the portfolio, and ensure that these are successfully addressed
  • You’ll act as a sparring partner for colleagues in the tender and sales teams

What you need

  • A degree in Business Administration/Economics or an equivalent qualification
  • Relevant professional experience spanning several years in tender management, bid management, strategic sales or comparable key roles, ideally within the logistics or services sector
  • In-depth expertise in public procurement law (particularly the VOL) and a comprehensive understanding of complex tendering processes in the public and private sectors
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and experience in drawing up well-founded business cases
