Your responsibilities:

  • Wiring of control cabinets, control systems and electrical assemblies in accordance with the circuit diagram
  • Assembly of electrical and electromechanical components
  • Assembly and fitting out of control cabinets and switchgear
  • Reading and implementing circuit diagrams, switching diagrams and wiring diagrams
  • Installation of cables, wires and terminal blocks
  • Marking and labelling of components and equipment
  • Troubleshooting and rectifying wiring faults
  • Documentation of work carried out
  • Compliance with quality, safety and health and safety regulations

What you bring to the table 

  • Completed training as an electronics technician, industrial electrician, electrical systems fitter, mechatronics technician or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in control cabinet construction and the wiring of switchgear would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in working with technical drawings and circuit diagrams
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering and control systems
  • Manual dexterity and technical understanding
  • An independent, meticulous and organised approach to work
