Your tasks 

  • Independently set up, configure and operate CNC lathes, milling machines and machining centres, and machine castings precisely in accordance with technical drawings and production documentation
  • Operate conventional lathes, milling machines and drilling machines safely; adapt existing CNC programmes; and, where necessary, make adjustments to tools and machine parameters
  • Work with Siemens and Heidenhain control systems, monitor manufacturing processes and ensure a smooth production process
  • Inspect workpieces using suitable measuring equipment and document quality control checks
  • Identify anomalies and resolve minor faults independently, as well as maintain machinery and work areas and assist with maintenance work
  • Contribute ideas for optimising workflows and manufacturing processes

What you need 

  • A completed vocational training as Machine Tool Technician (m/f/d) / Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d) / Toolmaker (m/f/d)
  • Work experience in CNC machining and in setting up and operating lathes and milling machines
  • Ideally, practical experience with machining centres and knowledge of Siemens and/or Heidenhain control systems
  • Experience in machining castings is an advantage, as is the ability to work confidently with technical drawings, work plans and measuring equipment
  • Technical understanding, manual dexterity and a strong focus on quality
