Your tasks

Responsibility for the management and organisation of the steelworks department, including the coordination of work orders and the allocation of tasks to the team.
Ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications in steel construction through regular inspections and tests.
Training and induction of new staff, as well as ongoing professional development for the team in relation to new technologies and processes in steel construction.
Point of contact for internal and external clients regarding technical enquiries and advice on steel construction projects.
Carrying out complex steelwork, including welding, assembling and machining steel structures.
Responsibility for the maintenance and servicing of machinery and tools in steel construction.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations in the steel construction industry.
Preparing reports on work carried out and maintaining regular communication with senior management regarding departmental performance and key performance indicators.

What you need

A completed vocational training programme leading to the qualification of Master Craftsman (m/f/d) in steel construction, mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification
Professional experience as a foreman (m/f/d) in steel construction is required
In-depth knowledge of steelworking, assembly and welding techniques.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
A customer-focused mindset and a strong commitment to service.
The ability to work as part of a team and to motivate and train staff.
Proficiency in the use of steel construction software and MS Office.
A willingness to undertake continuous professional development and adapt to new technologies.
