Your tasks
- Design, project planning and further development of innovative vessel types (yachts, naval vessels, specialised vessels) – in close collaboration with in-house disciplines and external partners
- Preparation and evaluation of structural designs, line drawings, weight estimates and stability calculations
- Support with structural design, equipment-related issues and class regulations during the early design stage
- Coordination of technical requirements in basic and detailed design – right through to implementation during construction at the shipyard
- Interface management between design, hydrodynamics, equipment, project management, customers and suppliers
- Handling certification processes with classification societies and regulatory authorities
What you need
- A degree in shipbuilding, naval architecture or a related engineering discipline
- Professional experience as an engineer (m/f/d) in shipbuilding is required
- Proficiency in using CAD and simulation software (e.g. Siemens NX, Rhino, NAPA, AutoCAD, FEM tools)
- Knowledge of stability and strength calculations, as well as international regulations (SOLAS, IMO, MARPOL)
- A team player with an interdisciplinary mindset, a confident manner and a passion for maritime engineering
