Your tasks

Development, design and integration of mechanical assemblies for military systems – e.g. sensor housings, gimbals, weapon stations, heat sinks, housings for electronic systems
3D modelling and drawing production using modern CAD systems (e.g. Siemens NX, PTC Creo), taking into account shock, vibration and temperature requirements
Material selection, tolerance management and consideration of manufacturing technologies (e.g. milling, casting, additive manufacturing, sealing concepts)
Support for environmental simulation tests (climate chamber, shock and vibration test rig) and implementation of qualification measures
Collaboration with system architects, electronics development and production teams to ensure functional system integration
Preparation of technical documentation in accordance with military guidelines and internal quality standards

What you need

A degree in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, mechatronics or a comparable subject
Professional experience as a mechanical engineer (m/f/d) in the defence industry is required
Proficiency in using 3D CAD tools (Siemens NX, Creo, Inventor) and, ideally, PDM/PLM systems
Knowledge of material-appropriate design, protection ratings (IP, MIL-STD), environmental requirements and industrial manufacturing
Analytical thinking, precision, a sense of responsibility and the ability to work as part of a team
Willingness to undergo a security vetting in accordance with Section 8 of the SÜG (Security Vetting Act)
