Your tasks

Design, construction and integration of pipework systems for highly complex types of vessel – including fresh water, cooling water, fuel, waste water and compressed air systems
Design of pipe diameters, materials, pressure ratings and valve systems in accordance with marine requirements and classification society specifications (e.g. DNV, ABS, BV)
Production of isometric drawings, bills of materials, pipework and layout plans using 3D CAD tools (e.g. CADMATIC, AVEVA Marine, Siemens NX)
Coordination with related disciplines such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, plant and equipment, and structural steelwork
Support throughout the entire project – from the concept study through to assembly at the shipyard and commissioning
Technical documentation, support with shipyard acceptance inspections and liaison with classification societies

What you need

A degree in process engineering, utilities engineering, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering or a comparable subject
Professional experience as an engineer (m/f/d) specialising in pipework construction in shipbuilding is required
Proficiency in using 3D CAD systems for pipework design (e.g. CADMATIC, AVEVA, NX Routing)
Knowledge of technical standards (ISO, DIN, EN, SOLAS, IMO) and ship classification requirements
An understanding of materials technology (e.g. stainless steel, CuNiFe, plastic systems) and welding techniques
