Your tasks

  • Fitting and professional installation of windows and doors (uPVC, timber, aluminium) in new-build and renovation projects
  • On-site measurements, inspection of connection points, adjustment of frame sizes
  • Preparing the work area; protecting the floor, furniture and surrounding area
  • Removal of old windows, including cleaning and disposal of waste materials
  • Installation of the substructure, waterproofing, insulation and connection to masonry/revebs
  • Fitting of window sashes, adjustment of fittings, seals and roller shutter guides
  • Functional tests (thresholds, opening/closing, leak testing, load tests)
  • Documentation of installation reports, acceptance checks and maintenance instructions
  • Compliance with safety and fire safety regulations, and health and safety rules
  • Working with site managers, carpenters and clients

What you need

  • Completed training in window fitting, window fitting and joinery, carpentry or a comparable qualification; further training in the window and roller shutter sector, if applicable
  • Experience in fitting windows and doors, ideally using different types of materials (uPVC, timber, aluminium)
  • Basic knowledge of measurement and planning techniques, sealants/insulation, and connection to external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) and soffits
  • Confident use of hand tools and power tools; ideally, knowledge of pneumatic or power tools
  • Physical stamina, precision, the ability to work independently and a customer-focused approach
  • Driving licence category B
